This California Consumer Privacy Act Notice ("CCPA Notice") supplements the information contained in the Maple Documents, LLC Privacy Policy and applies solely to visitors, users, and other individuals who reside in the State of California ("consumers" or "you"). Maple Documents, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") has adopted this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 ("CCPA") as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), and any terms defined in the CCPA or CPRA have the same meaning when used in this notice.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or household ("personal information").

2. Sources of Personal Information

We obtain the categories of personal information listed above from the following categories of sources:

  • Directly from you: Information you provide when completing our online request form, contacting us by phone or email, or otherwise interacting with our services.
  • Indirectly from your activity on our Site: Usage information collected automatically when you navigate our website, including cookies and similar technologies.
  • From third-party service providers: In limited circumstances, we may receive information from our operational service providers in the normal course of delivering our services.

3. Business or Commercial Purposes for Collection and Use

We collect and use personal information for the following business or commercial purposes:

  • To communicate with you about your request, account, or service status via text message and email

We do not sell personal information. No mobile information will be shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

In the past twelve (12) months, we have not sold personal information and have not disclosed personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.

5. Your California Privacy Rights

The CCPA provides California residents with specific rights regarding their personal information. This section describes those rights and explains how to exercise them.

Right to Know

You have the right to request that we disclose certain information about our collection and use of your personal information over the past twelve (12) months. This includes: the categories of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which the personal information was collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting the information, the categories of third parties with whom we shared the information, and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.

Right to Delete

You have the right to request that we delete personal information about you that we have collected, subject to certain exceptions. We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our service providers to complete a transaction with you, to fulfill a legal obligation, to detect security incidents, or to exercise or defend legal claims, among other permitted exceptions under applicable law.

Right to Correct

If you believe that personal information we maintain about you is inaccurate, you have the right to request that we correct that information, taking into account the nature of the personal information and the purposes for which we process it.

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing

You have the right to direct us to not sell or share your personal information. As noted above, we do not sell personal information and have not done so in the past twelve (12) months. If this practice changes, we will update this notice and provide you with a clear mechanism to exercise this right.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

We do not collect or process sensitive personal information as defined under the CPRA. If this changes, you will have the right to limit such use.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices, provide a different level of service, or suggest that you will receive different treatment for exercising your rights.

6. How to Submit a Request

To exercise any of the rights described above, you may submit a verifiable consumer request to us by:

Your request must include sufficient information to allow us to reasonably verify your identity and understand, evaluate, and respond to your request. Only you, or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child.

7. Identity Verification

When you submit a request to know, delete, or correct, we will take steps to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. The verification process depends on the sensitivity of the personal information and the type of request. We may ask you to provide the following identifying information that we will match against information we have on file:

  • Your first and last name
  • Email address or phone number provided at the time of your request or account creation
  • ZIP code

We cannot fulfill your request if we are unable to verify your identity or authority to make the request. We will only use personal information provided in a verification request to verify the requestor's identity or authority to make the request.

8. Response Timeline

We endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and the extension period in writing. If we decline to take action on your request, we will inform you of our decision and reasoning and provide instructions on how to appeal the decision.

9. Authorized Agent

You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. To do so, you must provide the authorized agent with written permission to submit the request. We may require you to verify your identity directly with us and confirm that you have provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request. We may deny the request if the agent cannot provide adequate proof of authorization.
